CURRENT

Minister for Lands & Natural Resources

January 2025 - Present

Appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to oversee the sustainable management of Ghana's land, forest, and mineral resources. Spearheading new reforms in the mining sector.

Minister for Energy & Petroleum

2013 - 2017

Oversaw the development of the TEN oil fields and the Sankofa-Gye Nyame project. Instrumental in the passage of the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act 2016 (Act 919).

Deputy Minister of Energy

2009 - 2012

Played a key role in the establishment of the Ghana National Gas Company and the extension of electricity to rural communities.
